The Architecture of Movement
A reformer is more than equipment; it is the centerpiece of your private sanctuary. Creating the ideal environment requires a balance of technical clearances and aesthetic harmony.
Before securing your 2026 Build Reservation, use this guide to audit your space and ensure a seamless installation.
Spatial Requirements
To ensure full range of motion and instructor access, we recommend the following clearances:
- The Footprint: Most professional reformers require an area of approximately 8' x 3'.
- The "Halo" Clearance: We recommend a minimum of 24 inches of open space on all sides of the frame. This allows for standing work, side-body exercises, and safe mounting/dismounting.
- Ceiling Height: For standing work or utilizing a Vertical Frame (Tower), a minimum ceiling height of 8 feet is required.
Integrity & Material
The "feel" of your carriage glide is directly impacted by what the machine sits on.
- Ideal Surfaces: Hardwood, polished concrete, or low-pile commercial carpet.
- The Registry Standard: We recommend a high-density Apparatus Mat to protect your floors and dampen mechanical vibration.
- Leveling: Our installation team will perform a precision leveling of the frame on-site to account for any natural sub-floor variance.
Light & Atmosphere
To maximize the mental benefits of your practice, consider your machine's orientation:
- Natural Light: Position the headrest toward a window to provide a sense of openness during supine (lying down) exercises.
- Mirror Placement: A wall-mounted mirror parallel to the reformer is highly recommended for self-correction of alignment and form.
The Registry Site Review
Confused about a tight corner or an awkward basement layout?
As part of your Build Reservation, you receive a Digital Site Review. You can upload videos and/or photos and dimensions of your room, and our logistics team will confirm your machine fits perfectly.
